In the Hardware Hacking Area assembly: Kaitai Struct is a markup language to describe binary formats. It has a compiler that can generate code to parse the format for several languages (including Python, C++, C#, and several others). We will be using its web IDE to rapidly figure out the contents of a simple binary format and learn the basics of the language. There is no prerequisite knowledge, and you just need a browser.

You can grab all the data and format descriptions used in the workshop from the workshop's repository: https://git.imaginaerraum.de/apo/KaitaiStructWorkshop
