UpStage is an online venue (browser-based) for live collaborative artistic performances, using all kinds of digital media from audio-visual streams to text & pretty much everything in between. The original platform was built in 2003, open source & written in Python, but relying on Flash to serve everything to the browser. Now we're rebuilding it - without Flash, still open source, still written in Python; - Helen Varley Jamieson (artistic leader of the project) and Gloria (one of the main developers) will give an update on the rebuild, including showing wireframes and code, & invite people to take a look & get involved. https://upstage.org.nz/ and specifically for the rebuild https://mobilise.upstage.org.nz/, https://github.com/upstage-org/mobilise
